Davangiri dosa is also known as sponge dosa. We have seen many dosa recipes so far like dosa, masala dosa, mysore masala dosa. So here is another requested recipe of davangiri loni dosa. We also will see how to make batter. Do try this recipe at home and drop a comment for me. You also can like, share and subscribe.

Ingredients:
• 2 cups Surati kolam rice
• 1/2 cup Urad dal
• 1 tsp Fenugreek seeds
• 1 cup Pohe
• Salt to taste
• Oil
• Butter

Method:
• Take rice and add urad dal, fenugreek seeds.
• You can use any rice of your choice like basamati tukada.
• Mix well and wash it really good 3-4 times with water.

• Soak everything in enough water for about 5-6 hours or overnight.
• Drain the water from it.
• Wash pohe really good with water 3-4 times and soak them in
enough water for about 15-20 minutes.
• Drain water from pohe too.
• Mix soaked pohe with soaked dal and rice.
• Transfer it into a blender jar and blend it like dosa batter.
• Add a little water and blend it.
• Add salt and mix well.
• The consistency of batter should neither too thick nor too thin.
• Cover and ferment it for about 10-12 hours or overnight.
• Mix the batter well once.
• Heat up a pan on medium heat.
• Brush a little oil on the pan.
• You can wipe it if you want.
• The pan should not be much hot.
• If the pan is too hot then the batter will stick one place and you
can’t spread it.
• Add better on the hot pan and spread it.
• Roast until lower side turns nice brown.
• Add some butter on the dosa and flip it over.
• Roast dosa well from other side as well.
• Take the dosa off into a serving dish.
• Serve it with potato sabzi and chutney.

Tips:
• During winter transfer the blended batter into a steel or plastic
daba and wrap it with blanket.
• Place the daba in the trolley or over or at warm place for
fermentation.
