Chicken handi is a very popular chicken curry recipe. Generally chicken cooked in earthen pots while making chicken handi. But you can make this in your regular pan too. Do try this yummy, delicious chicken handi and drop a comment for me. Do not forget to like, share and comment.

• 250 gm Chicken
• 3 finely chopped Onions
• 1 finely chopped Tomato
• 2 slit Green chilies
• Finely chopped Coriander leaves
• Few Mint leaves
• 1/4 cup Curd / Yogurt
• 1 tsp Ginger-Garlic paste
• 1 tsp Garam masala
• 1 tsp Red chili powder
• 1 tsp Coriander powder
• 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
• Salt to taste
• 3 tbsp Oil

• Wash the chicken really good and dry it.
• Add curd, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, crushed mint
leaves, coriander leaves, green chilies, salt and mix well.
• When chicken gets good coating of marinate then cover and rest
it for at least an hour.
• Heat up oil in a pan.
• When oil is enough hot add onion and fry it for about 6-7 minutes
on medium heat.
• When onion becomes nice and soft and begins to turn light
golden add tomato.
• Fry tomato for about 2 minutes.
• When tomato is cooked well add red chili powder, coriander
powder and garam masala.
• You can use chicken masala or any stored masala in place of
garam masala.
• Mix well and fry for about a minute or two.
• Add marinated chicken and mix well with the spices.
• Add salt and mix well. Add salt carefully as we have already
added salt while marinating the chicken.
• Add hot water and mix well.
• Cover with a fitting lid and cook on very low heat or dum for about
40-45 minutes.
• You can cover the pan with a clean napkin or handkerchief and
then cover with lid. You also can use aluminium foil.
• Turn off the gas and handi chicken is already.
• You can serve this handi chicken with naan, roti or bhakari.
